    Hey all!

This is actually my first post on VFRWORLD, but posts have been saving my butt for about the 2 years I've had this bike; so coming here for help! I've been having 2 separate but equally challenging and annoying Electrical problems for the past 3 months. This bike has about 25,500 miles on it, with meticulous servicing; all done myself except for installing a Gorilla Alarm system about 6 months ago.

    First Problem:
Started with my Headlights going out together when I switched on the HighBeams. Sketchy on freeway at night. This is still a problem, I just cannot use HighBeams lol. When I do flick on the HighBeams, both Headlights go out and the fuse pops, immediately. Which has been my only solution thus far. The fuse does not pop without flicking the HighBeams.

    Second Problem:
Is now my turn signals and horn do not work. Same issue; however, if I even try to use the turn signals or horn, the fuses just pop. So there is no Temporary fix to this one.

Obviously I have a short somewhere, also sounds somewhat like a grounding issue. I have checked the continuity of the relays and stator, but haven't gotten down into the nitty gritty wiring harness. If I have to, I have to; but am HOPING someone on here has had a similar situation and can give a few pointers.

Thanks guys, any help is appreciated!

All of those functions are operated from the left side switch gear, which would lead me to check the switchgear and the three connectors associated with those components first.....If it is a ground issue, you should be able to find it by checking continuity. My initial guess would be that the switchgear is shorting out to the clip on or there is a pinched wire.

Remove the switch from the handelbar and operate it and see if the fuse still blows, helps sort on pinpoint where to head.
