Hi all. I am new to this forumbut have been a keen VFR owner for 6 years. My current bike is a 90 model that i got cheap as there was a fair amount of fairing damage which i put up with for a while but have recently done a streetfighter conversion. The problem i am having is a headlight that dulls and brightens again as i am riding. Seems to only be when the revs are above 4000 as i cannot seem to get it to do it when in the gararge.I am wondering if this problem could be attributed to the regulator as i have replaced all the other wiring but with no success. Any help would be great. THANKS

Check your batt voltage before starting, at idle and at 5k rpms. Start there, and post your readings.

that's a sign that you need to check for loose/burned/melted connections at R/R plugs and atop starter relay.....

    Thanks guys
Ran a check on voltage readings a came with the following
    Before startup 13.42
    Idle 13.15
5000rpm got to 15.8 and was still climbing but didnt want to hold it there any longer.
Have replaced some burnt wiring that i found with heavier wire and solder joints instead of plugs in the hope that it would be the problem but apparently not.
