    Hi,

I'm writing from Romania with a strange situation at my VFR. Not strange for someone but for me...

So...I have a VFR 2002 with some electrical problems. Last summer in one day, when i put on the lights the engine stops...i go to a mecanic, saw the problem - the bulb from the rearside...and everything was ok.

Now...last week...i start the engine...start the lights...and the engine stops. Tried to restart the engine..fails. Turn off the lights..the engine stats....but now i don;t have no lights HI AND LOW headlight. I only have sidelights. When i put the signal...the sidelights gones crazy.

Please help...what should i verify first? Someone have the electrical scheme for VFR 2002 without ABS--maybe coloured? Should i command something from the ebay?

    I'm desperate !!! :(

Most of us are still in bed in the US.

Give us about 12 hours and you'll get an answer.

I don t know ! i bought the bike from Romania, but she arrived from Italy two years ago. I think nobody was with her at any recall.
What means the recall ? What did they changed at the general recall? Maybe i have to do the same thing.

Not being familiar with the recall yet, first I would check with a Euro spec owners manual. Here in the US, we have our headlight low beams come on as soon as the ignition is on....
My best guess is that there is a short in the switch or wiring which SHOULD be blowing a fuse, or if that circuit has been vented by using a bigger fuse, then that short could be bogging your alternator which makes the engine die. Just a guess based on my automotive experience. Make sure the fuses installed are correct; not rated too high for the circuit.
