I read with interest the threads about bumping up HP on the VFR, how much money and work it would take, race-derived engine 'detuned' for the street. Well, wonder no more, boys and girls, this seller has unlocked the secret and he's willing to sell you his VFR!

Hmm anyone have a dyno spread sheet on this set up. No doubt it runs better, but he's pretty optimistic.

 

Sounds like the ole' butt dyno needs some tuning

 

I'm really confused... how is this unlike any other VFR with these mods? It's not the only with them, to be sure... And 20hp? Not from just those mods and a tune. It must have been that center stand. I KNEW that thing was holding my bike back! :crazy:

Is your +70HP VFR stil running? You had some SC problems (plus soft clutch - I've read from the dedicated thread) so how did you solve the problem?

 

i always wanted that header, really bad. i was very optimistic, figuring that that header plus a good slip on and tune would net around another 5 hp over the typical 5hp that every vfr usually picks up. but every credible vfr guru ive talked to, has stated otherwise. never in my wildest dreams would i guess, "by like 20 plus hp." though lol
this guy cant even change an upper fairing or provide a dyno sheet. i wouldnt trust him as far as i could throw my vfr lol.

 

it must have slid out from him from all that power... lol
but honestly, i have never seen a dyno of a 2 bros header equipped vfr. those things are made of unfuckingobtainium.

 

There must be some hidden mods on that thing... Maybe he has a set of these installed, and hasn't told anyone...

Hmm, I have a high flow filter, the autotune module and no cats so I guess I have at least an additional +10hp over his 20.

 

Wasn't there one of theses things back in the 1990's that was put into the intake and promised up to 10% HP gain and and better gas mileage too?
Think it was called the "Cyclone"
I am gonna have to look into one for my Girl......
I will keep my fingers crossed and hope for 20% HP increase like this guy got..........
