Hey guys, I purchased a DynoJet kit for my '96 VFR awhile back on ebay (new in sealed box) and was wondering if any of you Gen 4 owners have put such a kit on your bike and what kind of results you experienced? Thanks in advance.

Ya know, I almost did this mod myself. then before I did I wanted to do a before and after Dyno pull, so after the first pull I asked Valasco what he thought, "Not worth the trouble" I go Really, I was wanting and sure by adding a kit to tweak it a bit I'd get a wee bit more. He said in return you won't notice any gains, you want more HP for say an event like a track day, then run race fuel, he then went back and showed me the sniffer results and won't ya know it, it be really hard to do better over the stock set up unless you where going to make this bike a track bike where you're in the upper "Rs" a lot, then yes, other wise not worth the trouble, that and from what I've read these dyno jet kits where cheap knock offs from what HRC had, Valasco also added if one was to find an HRC kit then it might be worth it. So I guess I'd say, if it ain't broke don't fix it.;)

I did the mod and am totally with RVFR's buddy. Not worth it!

Had I known I would have saved that 110.00 and did a trackday with it.

    Sell it to someone else

And for what it is worth, if you do decide to use the kit and it recommends drilling out the slide holes (if that year has them), don't do it until after you try the jetting changes. It is not easy to undo the slide mods.

Thanks for the advice guys. Since the carbs are a pain in the you know what to work on on the V4's, I did not plan on doing it myself. Rather than spend the money to have a Honda dealer install the jet kit and then have little or no noticeable difference, I thought it would be best to hear it from you guys that have done it...much thanks and appreciation.

WITH jet kit i noticed smoother throttle response, eliminated slight surging at low rpms and stronger pull over 7000 rpm (with stock exhaust).
