    Hi,

I am running a race pipe, K&N filter without filtration oil for better flow and no air box lid.

I want to know if anyone has tried this and what jets/needles you are running?

    1. Std springs, 125/128 jets - Too weak midrage upwards which is understanable

    2. Dynojet springs, 136 jets and 2nd from bottom needle groove - good up to 7000rpm then too weak but is very smooth.

    3. Anyone run std springs with a Dynojet?

    Richard

No clue on the jetting but be careful with that unoiled kn filter. The filter is worthless with out the oil, as its the oil that does the filtering.
Why don't you see if they make a Pipercross air filter for your bike or get pod filters.
Also, I would put on the larger 36mm 3rd gen carburetors on your bike before messing with the 34mm 4th gen carbs.
Anyways, good luck with the jetting.

Is this a Race bike or street?

Are these Wide open throttle butt-dyno runs, or partial throttle?

Is it loosing power like bogging down weak or running out of air above 7000?

What size pilot jets are you running?

Are these stock needles or dj stepped taper?

Got to find the optimum main jets for your unique setup FIRST b4 dealing with springs, needle positions, etc. Increase main jet sizes gradually until top speed starts going down, then use one size smaller. Alot of experiments necessary + a dyno or suitable test track.

Wide open throttle, man, hang on tight !!
