Next time try rotating the tire on the rim to a few different positions as you might be able to offset some of the weight difference by putting the heavy side of the wheel directly across from the heavy side of the tire.

its not 3oz out-the weights are a couple grams, maybe 1/4 oz, I am use to car weights. But still more than most tires, I guess there is nothing wrong here, just me:unsure:

Like I mentioned in your other thread, I had 7 (1/4 oz.) weights on a wheel once. Although it looked like a lot of weight, that's only 1.75 oz.

And there's no guarantee that it's the tire. The rim itself could be that far off. Most of the rims I've changed tires on are not well balanced. Which, oddly enough, seems to fit this thread very well. :eek-new:

Dunlop called me-maybe I can get a big discount from them- I don't see how the rim is giving me problems as this is the third set of tires only. There is nothing wrong but one of the weights was loose-I used a little red Loctite to fix that-ran out of super glue,. I guess with me working on it -never be perfect but I don't care anymore.:spider:

I think you should get it rebalanced properly. Maybe pay for it to be professionally done.

You could always take a power sander to the heavy side of the tire.

no the weights do that-I need all the rubber on the tire. Sometimes I may think too hard, am
happy that I don't drop the bike any more, everything else is just wear and tear. Getting better not worse, so it don't matter any more:drum::party2:

Smoke a fat doobie and try ballancing again use gorilla tape for loose weights and weights from Freightliner may work better.

The oot of balance factor may be more toward SOW than a tire or wheel.

Yes I was out of balance as a tire change done right is not that simple, a little red Loctite on the wheel weight fix its wiggle. Dunlop rear tires might not be perfectly balanced-the red dot means little on this back tire.:scooter: I guess, I worry too much because of Randy haunting me with his drop threads.

I've heard, from a source of unknown reliability, that they stopped making dynaBeads so we are left with buying what may be left out there. Have you heard anything of the such?
