I see a lot of tire reviews on here but never for the Q3's. My bike came with a new set and I think they are spectacular! Can I be the only one? Next season I must replace the rear and I wonder if I should go to PR4's. I can't imagine them being better then the Q3's but they do get rave reviews.
My Q3 rear is getting squared off by two up highway riding but for some reason it has not impacted handling at all.
    ANY Q3 users besides me?

Be interesting to see how the Q3's handle cold, wet conditions.

Had Dunlop Q2s previously and found them very good in the twisties as long as the weather was warm but at 54f or colder temps on a wet winding roads they were very squirmy and unsettling, currently have Metzeler M7rrs and they are brilliant in all conditions.

If you're looking for pure grip and handling, hard to beat the the Dunlop Q series, however don't expect a lot of mileage with them, although Q3's are supposed to be improved in that area. If you're looking for a tire that is meant to give more mileage and good grip when needed, that's where the PR Michelins come into play, especially in the VFR community.

Reading and talking with riders who use the Dunlop Q series, stories of 2-3k mileage reports are very common. Doing the same with Michelin PR series users, 8-10k mileage reports seem to be the norm. Although Dulop has their version of the PR, Roadsmart 2 I believe, have not run into too many riders who use them so can't report what they've experienced.

My feeling, if they work well for you keep on using them. Because to me, if you have confindence in your tires, it's one less thing to worry about when riding. How often you will have to replace them should relative to your budget.

I ride right down into the high twenties. I dont ride HARD when it's cold but I ride to work. Has not been a problem for me. I have about 3 thousand on them now and expect another thousand anyway.
I will likely switch to PR4's though. Reports of great handling and longevity are hard to ignore. May throw one more Q3 on the rear then they should both be done together by end of next season.

One thing to take into consideration regarding mileage, most of the Dunlop Q series users I've spoken with are on sport bikes, i.e. CBR, R1/R6, GSXR, etc. so that may have something to do with low mileage. Most of these riders are pretty aggressive riders. Although I have seen a few use the Michelin PR3/4 tires because they wanted to see if they could get more mileage without a big sacrifice in cornering performance. So far the few that have have not had any complaints so far.
