got 2 86 vfrs..Dunlop arrowmax on the fronts both wearing badly cupping on the left hand side..no more dunlops .correct tire pressures..and yes they were put on the correct rotation...bt45 battleaxe next tires.. Gregg in ohio
only thing I can think of is riding the crown of the roads around here..always in the rh tire track for cars and the crown of the roads would be wearing the tire on that lh side..we have some pretty bad roads around here ..and tar and chip is the re-paving procedure here..along with the amish horse poop all over the roads..not pretty on the white wheels..i got caught in a rain shower and all the horse poop turned to mush and the bike looked awful...so does my white gmc envoy..worked on sno-mobile today, yep I want snow,,..and the 2nd vfr for a detail redo and fix the bad stuff..Gregg in ohio
^^^ das IT right dere, man ! An dem Amish b too damn slow, bro, ya no ! :cheersaf::cheersaf: :hat: Maybe not knock Dunlop as their history in the tire biz is legendary and redounded, and their US mc tire plant is 5 miles from my humble residence; and i've friended with a few of their actual tire/track INGINEERS, like Jim Allen and Rick Bogdan, guys who worked with race riders for YEARS to improve tires that we both trust and enjoy now. A tire company has always to trade traction for hardness/longevity, and each tire is narrowly selected to be the best they can provide at a good price for a certain range of bikes. No news that you usually get better tires with more money, and Dunlop builds street tires for average riders and bikes at an affordable market price. Maybe you can find harder tires that suit the road conditions and pavement composition that best suit your riding area. I still miss the Dunlop 591's on my VFR750 way back in my day.
not knocking dunlops but when the previous owners only run 20 lbs of air ..doesn't do much for tire wear..i used to run the 591,r,s on my bsa ahrma/wera road race bike..great tires..running contis on my cbr600 f2 and I really like them..geez almost gottta take out a loan to buy good tires anymore..not cheap..Gregg in ohio
