    Hello all,

I am new to the forum but have been reviewing posts for a while. Looks like alot of good info to be found.

For those who have installed the Leo Vince Evo II exhaust recently I have a question. How does the bike run with the stock ECU?

Thanks in advance for the feedback.

    Duke

The Leo, as with any other aftermarket pipe, can be installed without a fuel management system. Unfortunately the stock ECU will not operate the bike at optimum, usually it's not even close. This is especially true on the 6th gen models, which don't have a particularly good map to begin with. I would say that if you're going to pipe it that the extra $300 for a PCIII and o2 eliminators is worth every nickel as is a dyno tune. If you are in fact on a 6th gen you won't be disappointed. It handles everything from off-idle surging, to the major power drop at 5400rpm, and smoothing out the VTEC transition. You'll probably realize a small gain in HP aswell.

Thank you for the input. My goal is to improve the exhaust and performance of the bike without getting too far away from stock.

This bike is more of a daily driver/tourer than track day bike.

    Happy riding

i've had my leo's on for about 2000 miles and it runs fine without a powercommmander or the o2 eliminators, though i eventually plan to replace them. I havn't noticed any popping on decel but the bike is herky jerky sometimes at low rpm's but it was like that before i put the pipes on. A power commander with a custom tune will solve the jerkiness and provide optimum performance.

Have you guys not done the small 5 min air box mods to smooth out the bike at lower revs?

Mine has Leo cans and runs like a dream.

my $0.02 = suspension upgrade, air box mod, 02 sensor bypass, semi-gut exhaust cans. invest your money where it matters most - suspension.

All I know is, I've rode with havcar a couple times in groups of 15-20 guys. The liter bikes ride around behind him. If I bought 6th gen, he'd the the first guy I talked to. No disrespect to anyone else, just saying, if havcar says something I'll believe him.
