I've never been over 10500, does the 86vfr have a rev-limiter on it? Love the mid range 3500-7000.

But those multiple-lane highway onramps get a little exciting when you hit the limiter in first (and second...). Bit more pucker than I like in the mornings on the way into work. But if you shift just before it's going to kick in... MMMmmmm music.

oh itll go further than 11,500, but i dont know that you want to make a habit of it. and crusty, that "miss" you feel at redline is the rev limiter, which kicks in right around 12k. i've gotten a little heavy handed with the old girl a few times and itll scoot right last 11,5....tho by the time i get it there, its tearing ass and really wanting to upshift....by the time i hit that 12k rev limiter, its just unhappy with me ;)
