does the 86 vf1000f2 suffer oil starvation and chocolate cams

currently lookin at one for sale, 12000 miles and only 1 owner

 

this is it 1986 HONDA VF 1000 F2F RED DAMAGED REPAIRABLE BIKE on eBay (end time 09-Mar-10 11:53:31 GMT)

 

Consider parts availability. What are the damages ??

It's huge weight makes it a very poor choice for slow, city riding.

 

it only needs indicator and a screen

never seen 1000R F2 looks cool!

 

My understanding is that the oil supply and soft rocker arms (not cams, BTW) were still an issue with the FII as well. Since we did not get that model in the US, I can't say that from personal experience, just what I've heard. Take that for what it's worth!

 

Something else is suspicious: why did he advertise it as a damaged bike when he only needed to replace a blinker and windscreen ??
