I am going a totally different route with my VFR800, I want to have inverted forks front end with dirbars, I would like to know if I can use a 2006 Hornet (599) triples on the vfr800, so that i have the already existing handlebar mounts on the upper triple. Does anyone know if the steering stem is same as the 954, as in will it just bolt on? In case some one is wondering, i am trying to build a naked version of the VFR (a.k.a V4 monster!)
can some one help me with this?

Also have questions regarding what other gauges i can use to replace the huge bulky ones on the VFR, it is very informative but just huge, and since i dont have any fairings on it, that needs to go!

One guy on another BB did this to a Harley. He pounded broomsticks into his original bars. The steering geometry was just a little off but it looked cool.

ought to be interesting but I don't recall anyone on here doing it in the last couple years. You could try the search function but keep it pretty general like handlebar swaps or something. it may take a while to find something like that, or you may be the first. if you do it, put up some pics and let us know how it works.
