gonna make this my "official" greeting. new to the forum from South GA. Got a much neglected '84 VFR 750 from a coworker. it needs alot of TLC but is running and riding.... if a little unpredictably at this point. in need of a carb rebuild / tuning and some tires. otherwise, it rides good and all the parts are there. its an all original (apparently incl front tire) bike with (now) 8,300 miles on it. i have punched in about 150 miles on it since i brought it home and got it running decently.... all withing a couple miles of the house.

i'm not seeing alot of aftermarket support for this older bike. a little, but not alot. in either case, i'm planning on keeping it mostly original anyway...

i'm not sure if this is stepping down, laterally or stepping up. my first bike was a '92 250 nighthawk that logged 12,000 miles in 3.5 years before i sold it. my last bike was a 1991 Suzuki GSX 1100G sport-touring bike. mine was a naked bike with no options... still it was fast. (did i mention heavy, tall and wide?)

looking forward to getting the VFR sorted out and logging ALOT of miles.
btw, i LOVE the deep exhaust note. :hail:

    this is bringing it home......

    congats & welcome

Look after that gen 1, she deserves a good home. great to see her in such 'unmolested' condition after all this time. keeping her stock is a really good idea IMO. also if you have a look in my albums under 'Honda sales brochures', you'll find an original sales brochure for the Gen 1.

    enjoy her. :treehugger:
