Hey, anyone here been to Daytona Bike Week or planning on going? I am trying to get time off from work so I ride down from NYC. I like rallies that are for Adults not families and I want to party with adults - no restrictions as far as nudity, drinking, noise and those kind of things that families do not like. I do not mean to offend anyone, but I am an adult and like to party like an adult. Questions I have is will there be any areas for adults only as far as music and contests, will there be a problem with riding there on a SportBike (don't get mad at me for this either - I have a 2k VFR, but plan on riding my Yamaha YZF 600R which is a great bike). Also, can I wear my MC colors, is there a particular campground for wild party and contests like hide the salami and such lol? As much as I like to have some wild fun would like to be in areas where it does not disturb anyone and about having some fun. Any info would be appreciated.
bike week HI, I haven't been to bike week in a few years, but I went for 10 or 12 years straight. It can be a lot of fun. Sounds like you're going to love Main Street. Plenty of wet T contests, and flashing women. You'll find flyers for other "events" like coleslaw wrestling and other adult entertainment. Mian Street is party central. Unless things have changed, you can't get in anywhere wearing and colors. I even had to turn my bmw-logoed t-shirt inside out when they started that. There are several campgrounds in the flagler beach area that get pretty rowdy. The harley guys used to stay at the same one as the bmw crowd. It was an adults only crowd for sure. One thing you can never count on is the weather. You can ride down there in beautiful weather and have a cold snap come in at the end of the week. Prepare and pack for the worst. Don't miss the MC show at the racetrack and try to catch some of the races. It's great. Cheers! Craig
I live here, and I think you will be able to find areas that will be exactly what you are looking for. The wild part is right on Main St. There is lots of flashing women and other fun adult only stuff. There definetly is a restriction on noise though. Cops will write tickets for bikes needlessly revving their engines. But other than that, its "almost" an anything goes type of event, definetly worth checking out.
just google daytona coleslaw pudding wrestling... it's almost impossible to avoid the action there... it's a nutty "once in a lifetime" event. I went about 10 years ago, nuts.
