Hi all, it's been puzzling me for a while, and I have searched this site, and the 'net generally, and I can't find the info I'm after. My bike, a (I believe) is a 1987 RC24 VFR750F-H. The VIN is 13 characters long.
    It is : RC24E02102897

It was originally sold in the Netherlands, so I am guessing the 'E' is for Europe, RC24 is obvious of course.
Do the other numbers give a clue as to the actual build date? It has been imported to the UK, and was registered on our DVLA system here as declared manufactured 1988, but registered as an '89, which makes no sense, as the DVLA's own rules state a vehicle cannot have a number that makes it look newer than it is!
The fact it is an 'H', with 16 inch front wheel and the sticky out front indicators, plus the early vent positions, make me think it's actually '87.

    Thoughts? Thanks. IMG_0060.jpeg

Well, five more minutes of searching, and, on this very forum back in 2012, a member called McViffer actually put the info on here, and it turns out it came from the Haynes (UK) manual.
    Which I've got.
