Join the Intel Motorcycle Club for our yearly charity benefit ride.

Registration begins at 8:00 am at Black Rock Coffee Company located at 765 SW 185th Avenue in Beaverton with the last bike out at 10:00 am. Free coffee will be available to registered participants. There will be a post-ride party at the MotoCorsa dealership located at 2170 NW Wilson in Portland starting at 4:30 pm with complimentary food catered by Bon Appetite and dozens of valuable raffle prizes donated from local businesses to be given away to participating riders. The cost is $10 per bike which includes one raffle ticket; additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase. All proceeds from this ride will go to the CureJM charity (see The Cure JM Foundation for Juvenile Dermatomyositis and Juvenile Polymyositis). Route options range from 170 to 235 miles.

Juvenile Dermatomyositis and Juvenile Polymyositis are the most common forms of JM (Juvenile Myositis) - a rare autoimmune disease that affects approximately 17,000 children and adults, and nearly 1,000 new cases are diagnosed in the US every year. JM causes a variety of debilitating symptoms including:
    • Muscle weakness and pain
    • Severe fatigue
    • Rashes
    • Swallowing and digestive difficulties
    • Lung and heart problems
    • Vasculitic ulcers
    • Calcinosis

Some children may experience a remission, while others will battle JM their entire life, and complications from this disease can prove fatal. Medication can help to alleviate the symptoms of Juvenile Myositis, but there is no known cure. The Cure JM Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is an all-volunteer group managed by families and friends of JM patients. Created specifically to find a cure for this disease, the Cure JM Foundation is working to raise awareness of JM while also providing support and information to families suffering from JM.
