i'm looking for a cruise control or something that will do the same job! Anyone have heard of that?

    I have a VFR800 2000.

    Thank you,

HI Ralph: I have never seen a real cruise controle for a VFR tht maintained constant speed despite the grade. There are a bunch of throttle locks on the market. Many people, myself included, like the "Throttlemeister". It is a nicely machined piece that replaces your stock bar ends. I put mine on in about 30 minutes. It would have been faster if I'd read the directions. They cost about $125 and I've found mine extremely useful. I never leave it on for long, but use it to give my hand a rest. You can use it for long periods of time if you want because it allows you to change the throttle position without turning it off and on. Look in most bike mags for an address, Google it, or hope one of the informed people on this site can send you the address. Jeff McQueen 01 VFR

Let's see ... Hmm ... Throttlemeister $125 / Throttle Lock $7.50 I went with the throttle lock and it works just fine. Lets you get relief from the throttle enough to get some feeling back in your fingers.

Oh yes, there is electronic cruise. I've got it on my '99 VFR.

Other folks have adapted an Audiovox universal automtive cruise control to their bikes with success. You need to be a bit of a McGyver type to get it all flanged up though.
