Found this on the Euro news blog. The guy is trying to make it in the Guinness Book. He left Lisbon, Portugal on August1 and going on 15K km trip all the way across Russia. You can track his progress on the link above (map), looks like he just passed Moscow. The guy is riding a demo bike from Estonia. He had to stop in Lithuania (that's where he is from) due to an overheating issue. He says it's mostl likely because the bike had been dropped from demo rides and caused some damage to the radiator.

Here is what his trip I think would like like ( add Lisbon, Portugal on google maps):

I tried translating with google but it kept saying server error. He's still in Lithuania according to the map in the link, but possibly it was just saved that way?

That's probably because that's where he is from.

So he made the trip in 12 days. 9,320 miles total and that puts him into WG Book.
He believes it can be done faster but he was trying to make it safely. If you think about, that's only 776 miles per day which is not bad. He went through several countries/customs, and the roads are shitty in many places, and the speed largely depends on whether and other factors.

    Pretty good achievement, I think.
