    Two4one said it. You could look on fleabay for people parting out VFR's to see about getting a new radiator.....assuming you damaged it beyond repair.

    Sorry to hear about your mishap though. Not to sound like a smart ass, but you might want to consider an MSF course if you have not already since this is your first bike and all.

    yes, lowsided on left twice. nary a leak. do what he said. get that plastic off and find where it's dripping. it most likely isn't a big thing and you won't have to spend much... until you buy new plastic... {sigh}

    A member here Rollin_Again had that happen to him. The shop said he had to get a new radiator because the force of the impact crushed the radiator fins and was beyond repair.

    Like others are saying here try taking the plastics off and see if you can find where the leak is coming from. It could be as minor as a radiator hose getting loose.

    Thanks all. I took the MSF Course and got my license this summer. Had a great time! But, after having my VFR for three weeks I was taking it out canyon-carving every day and I finally went wide on a turn and hit gravel and lowsided. I'm really humbled by this. Do I have to replace the plastic fairings just because they are scratched? The problem I have is that my bike has a custom color the previous owner painted it. Is it shameful to have scratched fairings?

    It would be a good idea to leave them scratched for while 'till you get very familiar with the bike. It would suck to paint them all up nice and drop it again.
