    Hi Folks,

I've been getting my '84 700F ready for the season, new tires f/r, wheel bearings f/r, ss brake lines, chain/sprockets. My question is this; after installing the countershaft sprocket and torquing down the sprocket bolt, I'm left with a bit less than 1 mm slop. IOW, the sprocket can be 'wiggled' in/out within this range. I have a shop manual but have not found info telling me if this is 'normal'. Does anyone know? I can place a shim behind the sprocket and take all play out, but would that be correct?

    TIA,
    Anders
