Hello all, Im curious on how hot my bike will get before damage will start. I have noticed on warm days when caught in city traffic it gets over 100 degrees C, my mates Suzuki shuts its engine down at 110c. Is it possible to make the fans start earlier???
    Thanks for reading.

The fan is set to turn on at 220 F. There are many coolant threads about this very thing. The search function will be very helpful.

You could always rewire your fan.

Mate, I'm in Melbourne, and even on 42c days the bike never goes above 105c in traffic. I don't like the fact it gets that hot either, but it doesn't seem to be a problem.

Cheers Will, it is rare that Tassie will get that hot but I remembered earlier this year she hit 103 as we were trying to get through traffic to start cruise. Just wanted to be sure for the toyrun as well. Our run is slow and gets a massive turn out (thousands). It stretches for a few klm's and my mate said his bike just shut down last year which as you could imagine its hard to move between lots of bikes.

you can easily wire a manual switch in parallel with thermo switch to turn fans on earlier......
