    Hey guy's
I just bought my VFR 750 a couple of month's ago. But I have been having a constent problem, with my cooling fan. If I let the bike sit at slow speeds or and ide for a while, the bike starts to overheat and the fan never comes on. Have any of you guy's had this problems and if so do you know how to possibly fix it.

    Hey Savedrider,
Nice to meet you.I just purchased a 1986 VFR 750. It a great bike, I'm still learning how to ride, I just recently took the bike on the road for the first time. The bike handles like a dream. I live In New Hampshire so we are just getting into to warmer weather, so hopefully I can pull the bike out of the shed and start riding again soon. Maybe even as soon as this weekend. So I can get some time and experiance under my belt, because I am planning on taking my bike out to Americade in Lake George, NY. Look forward to talking to you and eveyone else on a regular basis.

    P.S.
It must be nice to live in California. You must be able to take your bike out almost everyday, talk to you later.

Do you have good coolant and appropriate levels? You might have a bad thermostat. I'd prob check the fan, too and see if it works. Could be a fuse or a short. That's where I'd start at least. If that doesn't do it, post another message and we'll track it down.

    Hi CANDYCRUISER,
Glad to see another person from the Live, Freeze and Die state. After a week of single digit temps, we're supposed to near 50 next week. All I have to do now is figure out how to get the bike the 60 feet across back yard through a foot and half of snow.:ballchain:
    Where abouts you located?

    Thank You reg71,
I know my coolant levels are ok. And I have already tried grounding out the fan, the next thing I will try Is puting direct leads to the fan.If this dosen't work, I'm going to have to see if it's any of the other things you said. I'm hoping it's something as simple as a fuse. I'll keep you informed though.

    Nice to meet you Dean,
Wow it sounds like your talking about me.The bikes traped in the shed and in order to get it out I would have to get through fifty feet or so of water soaked back yard. Thankfully the snows almost gone and I am dying to get back in the saddle. The 50 degree weather we are supost to get can't come soon enough. But to answer your question I am located In Salem,N.H

I'm about an one and a half hours west of you, but I work in Merrimack. It has always amazed/iritated me how much less snow that part of the state gets.
Hope you get the fan fixed in time to enjoy some of the "warm" weather. I know I'll get out into it some how.

    Hi Dean,
I don't know how much snow you got out that way, I know for a fact that we didn't get nearly enough snow this winter to bother registering my snowmobiles. Fortunatly even with my fan problem I can still ride the bike as long as I stay moving, and don't stay stopped to long. So I plan on getting out as well.
