    Hello everybody,
This is my first post on this forum.
I'm not new to bikes (30 yrs of riding) but brand new to VFR which I always wanted.
I came across "nearly New" 5th generation with 427 miles on the clock that many of you watched on eBay and bought it a week ago.
    Just couldn't resist....
Anyway, I'm in the process of doing basic service myself ( without service manual) since all dealers around me got 3-4 weeks backlog.
I need procedure for coolant replacement and of course welcome all suggestions about coolant, oil and life in general...

The drain plug is located on the bottom side of the water pump just to the front of the clutch on the left side.

when you refill, make sure you run it for a few minutes to get the bubbles out. One place they collect is the fan switch located at the top front of the left radiator, a quick loosen and retighten will burp it. The fan switch does not work if there is air on it.

Thanks for the info. Any suggestions as what brand of coolant (silica free of course) to use?

I just bit the bullet and bought the Honda Premixed. It was more expensive than mixing your own but still around $20 for 4 quart bottles.
