I was looking over the VFR yesterday, I noticed that on the left side underneeth the coolant botttle their is a cover that has about 5 to 6 bolts in it. On the bottom bolt their was a little drop of coolant that looked like it seeped out between the gasket. I checked the bolts and they are all tight so I'm not quite sure where to find a replacement gasket. I checked service honda and couldn't even find a image of where the gasket is located... Any ideas?

    Coolant Leak

The only thing I can tell is to go to a local Honda Dealer or call one! My buddy had the same problem and the Honda dealer up here in Canada helped him out he's had no problems since!

Wish I could help you more!

    Cheers

as I'm guessing that you have some year 700, (funny how i would guess that) i'm also going to guess that the cover is for the stator (of course one man's left can easily be another man's right)...no coolant should typically be in there my friend. do a thorough inspection of the hose connections and the associated overflow bottle hoses in the area above and around that case cover. check the coolant overflow bottle to make sure it does not have a minute split along a joining seam too. if you can't find it after the inspection, it's gonna be a whole lot more work from there....typically the source of one drop isn't that easy to find, so look and feel around very carefully.

Its actually a 98 VFR800, its the left side when your sitting on the bike, right under the coolant bottle.

Found out where it is, I cant imagine any coolant being in there or I would have major problems. The bike has been sitting since November but has been started pretty much every month.. Its not to the point where its even leaking, just a small dab of coolant on the bottom of the bolt... Is this something I should even be worrying about?

If you wipe it off and it never comes back, your coolant level always stays the same, and you don't have a bunch of coolant in your oil the next time you change it, then i would say no to worrying a whole lot about it. You could do a quick visual inspection of the oil, through the site glass on the left side case cover. If you get into a situation where you are routinely adding coolant to maintain the correct level in the system, then i'd start getting concerned.
