Hi guys. New to the forum. I have an 85 500. When i turn the key to the on position the spark is constant as if i where cranking it over. The bike is not running when this is happening. Anybody experience this before or any ideas what could be casing this.
    Thanks

Welcome to the forum. I'm not sure what it is you are asking...

If you mean the engine is turning over like you are starting it, then the starter button might be stuck or the starter relay could be stuck. I am sure someone else might have an idea also and will pipe in sooner or later.

hey, sorry guys. The problem I'm having is as soon as i turn the ignition on the spark starts going as if I were trying to start the bike but I'm not doing anything. Not touching the start button. Not trying to crank over the engine to start. Just non stop spark I'm pretty sure its not supposed to spark unless the engine is running or cranking over. Thanks.
p.s. how do u edit the user name wasn't paying attention this morning and spelled it wrong. only one cup of coffee:smile:
