Hey guys, I'm considering a 2004 Asphalt black ABS with approx. 8,000 miles. It has the givi tail case. The bike appears to be in good condition. One thing I'm curious about though, isnt there supposed to be "Interceptor" decals on both sides of the seat cowling? Do you think a previous owner removed them or is this a red flag that perhaps there was repair-work done at some point? Owner says bikes never been down but who really knows??

    Is it worth $5,000??

I wouldn't worry too much about the decals if the bike seems to be in good condition otherwise. As a matter of fact I know lots of people who remove their decals the minute they purchases their bike because they think it makes the bike look cleaner. As said before go with your gut or take a qualified mechanic with you to alleviate your concerns. I personally wouldn't mind if a bike has been in a minor accident in it's past as long as the price is good and there was only cosmetic damage. The price you mentioned is about average in my opinion. I think if you look more you can find a better deal. VFR's are solid and generally long-lived machines so there isn't much difference between buying one with only 8k vs one with double that mileage since these bike can easily go past the 100k mark.
