The bill to require smog testing of motorcycles that was introduced in the California Sentate has been defeated. The CA Senate has unanimously rejected Ms. Pavleys bill and required that the bill be adjusted to not include the motorcycle smog testing requirement.

I personally sent no less than 20 emails and three letters to Ms. Pavley, and other representatives, expressing my concern for the reasoning behind the bills original intent. It would seem that it is possible to influence the outcome of these situations if enough people actually do something, instead of just sitting around whining about them. I feel like I have contributed to the success of this defeat, albeit in a small way.

    Hooray for common sense!

    Common sense news in Kansas:
Starting July 1, motorists traveling in the left lane of interstate highways who aren’t passing another car will be issued a warning. Starting next year it is $135.00 fine. Hopefully this will get all the slow bastards out of the passing lanes. Nothing worse than being stuck behind dueling retards traveling at 10 mph under the limit.

Now that's awesome! Oh how I wish driving here could be like Germany. No need to remove the cinder block from the accelerator @ 140 because slower traffic is ahead...they'll be gone before you get there even at speed.

Apparently you have to legislate common sense in the US? It's pretty bad when the state legislature has more common sense than the citizens.....

It is indeed surprising that KA actually did something that is less than retarded. Refreshing would be the word I would use.

Sadly, I'm sure Kommiefornia will do something really freaking stupid very shortly that will bring back everyone back to reality.

    KC-10 FE out...

Well, I'm sure if they do there will be way more talking on talk radio than action by the people that elect these folks ....but then again, it's always easier to windbag about it than do anything about it.
