Coming up to 1,000 klicks and some newbie observations: First of all this is a wholly different riding experience to my previous Shadow. I know: “Quelle surprise” I have also owned other non-cruiser street bikes in the past but the Veefer is a thing onto itself. It is a far more agile bike and with a throttle response that still takes some getting used to. I can find myself at warp speed before I realize it and it pretty much corners without, it seems, very much input from me. Of course I will have to consume many more klicks before I can confidently take advantage of the cornering capability of this bike and an advanced riding course is in the plans. Other than the daily commute I have not been in the saddle steady for more than 90 minutes however none of the shoulder-muscle cramping that I used to get after an hour in the cruiser saddle and, of course, no tailbone pain. Surprisingly no (at least not yet) wrist problem though I was expecting some given the different seating position. (I have ordered a tankslapper since I am hugging the tank and don’t want to scratch the paint surface.) This is by some considerable distance the best vehicle I have ever owned. It’s a delight to ride and it’s also a lot more challenging (to me) than any other bike which means that it is requiring me to test myself and improve my riding “craft”. All that and the thing is an absolute chick magnet. I have a list of ladies wanting rides. That never happened with the cruiser.
