Good day all, I just picked up a pretty rough 5th Gen VFR through an auction. Very little money invested but hoping to go the Streetfighter route as the plastics are rough, rough, rough. Excited to add a V Four to my garage though. Only had to spend an hour draining gas and getting power before I had the engine running and it sounded so lovely. Should be a good winter project up here in cold Canada.

    Welcome to the Madhouse:Welcome:

Kudos on including photos with your first post :Whoo:

As yuou will quickly discover we have a lot of VFR owners in Canada so you may want to update your forum profile (at the top) to include an approximate location city/province is ample - that way it will appear automatically beside your posts and if you need help with the project you may find someone living nearby offers to swing by and offer advice or pick up a wrench especially if you have a well stocked beer fridge - and a warm cosy workshop.:drink:

Before you dump those fairings it is worth stressing that even beat up Honda panels tend to be far better quality material than most aftermarket pattern part kits from China - which tend to become a nightmare to actually line up and fit correctly. If the existing panel damage is mostly racks etc. If you take your time they can often be repaired.

Meantime have fun with the project.
