I have read most of the replies in the thread reviewing Corbin/Sargent/Stock and see that most prefer the Sargent, but with that said I am looking at a third option and was wondering if anyone has any experience with CMSEATS.co.uk

So I have been searching for a few weeks now for a new seat, ever since I did a long ride through South Park, CO(my butt still hurts thinking about it)I have a 2010 VFR1200f, stock seat.. Anyway, I have found 3 I thought would work.
CMSEATS comes highly recommended but is the most expensive with conversion rate

    BASKET STYLE

Next up is Sargent seats, but the process is a bit more than I thought it would be. sending in my seat for foam upgrading and such

    http://www.sargentcy....ckage-Options/

Third and final one is the ole faithful Corbin gunfighter & Lady saddle

    http://www.corbin.co.../hvfr10gl.shtml

any random thoughts would be welcome..

    thanks!

Why make this so complicated? Just go to a local upholsterer who does motorcycle seats and they'll custom fit the bitch to your ass for the same price as the rest of the one-size-fits-all aftermarket jobbies.

i'd make sure they had motorcycle seat experience before I trusted them to do my seat... wait that didn't come out right...

    For sure.

The trick is to stop in at your local used motorcycle dealer and ask them who repairs their damaged seats that come in with the trades. You'll never see a damaged seat on the used bikes from any of these dealers who run a real business not out of their garage.

I did find a shop locally that does motorcycle seats, they come recommended by the dealer who sold me the bike. i am heading over there on Thursday to get a look at their work first hand and go over what I want done to my bike.. Sargent would have been my choice if the turn around wasnt 3 to 4 weeks, that 3 to 4 weeks with no riding, that is not happening during summer months..

It won't get you anything but please tell Steve that Dave with the yellow VFR sent ya.

Hope to see you out there on the road. Unfortunately all my riding lately has been commuting and not enough canyon or touring. Welcome to the forum and I look forward to hearing how things go!

I met up with Steve last week, like his work and he addresses the issue with seats rather than just adding foam where it is not needed.. I am scheduled for the 26th, great price and I love the fact I get to customize the seat the way I want it.. Thanks for the information..
