    Hello friends,
First of all, let me say i have been member here for a while and I love it.
Never post a problem because never had unique one that I couldn't fix it just by reading existing posts.
Well, I think I have one now....
I drop my 2002 VFR non-ABS in the garage (stupid of me) and snap clutch lever, so I order OEM replacement and install it. It works fine with no problems until I try to start the bike when its in gear (kick-stand up), and guess what? it did not start.
    So, to sum up:
When in neutral- starts fine, shifts fine.
When in gear (clutch lever pressed) - do not start.
(Kick stand seems to work fine)
I suspect it is a some kind of switch (electric or mechanical), and I will greatly appreciated if you guys point me to the right direction to locate and fix it.
    Thank you.

Pull the 2 wires off the switch ( if they didn't fall off in the tip-over) and test with an ohmmeter. You should have continuity with the lever squeezed, none with lever released.........or the other way around ??

Test and you'll figure it out.

If there is no difference in ohms between lever pulled and lever out, probably wrong lever.
