As I posted before I just bought an 87 vfr 700. Today I got the bike started and the engine sounds great.... really GREAT!!! But I also found that the cluth slave is out of commission. Coming from Ducati's this is a common problem with the Ducs, but there are plenty of aftermarket slaves that fix the problem for good. Is this a common thing with these VFR's? would I be best to buy a new slave or rebuild this one? are there any good aftermarket slaves out there?? and finally are there any other honda slaves that will fit this bike??... I.E. V45 or vfr1000 or maybe even the gold wing parts?
    Thanks
    Jamie

While you're in there, pull out the clutch pushrod and check for corrosion. If it is corroded, clean up and put the pushrod in with the opposite end facing you. The corrosion could possibly cause the oil seal to start leaking. Turning the pushrod around puts the corroded part of the rod where it does not pass through the oil seal.
