What kinda clutch kit do you guys suggest???? Mine are ok for right now with regular shifting but when I try to shift gears real fast the slip, so I will be doing this job pretty soon. I have a couple of ideas, but would really like everyones input on this.
    Thanks

EBC friction plates are pretty good. I have a mix and match set since I just replaced my clutch, I have OEM steel plates (good thing I ordered these cause most of mine were blueing), EBC friction plates (because the dealer said the KG plates were on back order so he ordered these) and KG springs. The springs give a heavier clutch pull (stiffer) and takes some getting used to. I only have about 500 miles on it but it pulls pretty good so far. I also put in Castrol GPS (?) synthetic oil.

Wow never have I heard this one before slipping plates huh? Hmmm well guess your best bet in my book is go OEM, Service Honda if you're doing this yourself well no doubt have the best price, not sure i'd go aftermarket unless you went HRC. Curious, How many miles on this VFR?

Don't have any slip with mine, just missed shifts and false neutrals. The Factory Pro shift kit will fix that, plus I willl throw in some new clutch disks and a set of Hyperplates. Should take care of the problem.

The bike has 24,000. I have been told by the Honda dealer in Asheboro that the way the front tire was worn it looked like it had been raced before, so maybe that has something to do with the wear of the clutches I don't know. I just know when I get on it like my old 87 YZ250 (and make sure I am shifting good) it slips.
