I have to sell my 99 here very soon and need to get the clutch changed out before I do. Ideally a factory Honda kit would be best, but I did see that Barnett kit on ebay for $140.

The bike needs tires too, so not sure if I should just do those instead...

    tires or clutch ?

If the clutch slips or drags alot, do the the clutch. I've seen Barrnet clutches work and not work. The fiber plates were too thick. Go OEM. If the clutch is fair, you can't go wrong with fresh meat. You can see the tires, not the clutch.

I'll probably just do the Barnett kit then. The dealer wants $230 for a factory Honda set. I'm not made of money right now.

bead blast your steel plates to rough 'em up and install a fresh set of springs. it'll get the new owner about a season if he's gentle on it.
