hi all.. Bought a vfr750 from a chap with spare motor for $200.. Bike runs great, but no front fairing.. Came with after market china junk headlight that couldn't beat a candle.. Right now my clocks are tucked behind the Darth vador front thing, what other vfr bike clocks can I rewire to fit?

Mine has cable speedo.. Plus they are old and worn.. Looking for a bike with waterproof clocks I can fit.. Dont mind cutting loom..

Also, can a single side swingarm be made to fit? Plenty of vfr400s around here..

    Tx

Can't say about the clocks if you're looking for something factory that'll fit, but you could always go aftermarket. Plenty of waterproof options there. You might have to go with a pickup sensor for the speedo though.

I know someone here has grafted a 5th gen SSSA on to a 2nd gen bike before and made it work. Toecutter I think....

Wow, now there's a commute, Seattle to Cape town. What is that one one way, 18+ hours? I take it this is the 89 vfr? if so pretty darn sure the SSSA won't fit with out a lot of machining, cutting and *&^$! it all back, that said anything can be done if one was to throw enough money at it. Now on the instrument panel, if I understand your meaning. I'm thinking knowing Honda it is going to be a 1st gen only thing. One should be able to track those down on ebay fairly easy.

Haha, yes little over 18 lol, this is my Cape Town bike, it's a 86 actually.. Got it without front fairing and no way I'm dropping few hundred dollars for that..

Will have to see if I can make something for original clocks .. I wouldn't mind chopping wiring.. And the speedo is cable too.. Naked looks great on these imo
