    Even though I've got 4 bikes (1988 oil cooled GSXR750, 1990 FZR600, 1985 ZX600 and an 1989 GS500e) I'm always on CL looking at bikes. I've always wanted a second gen VF.
Came across this one for 400$. Seller said they took the carbs off to clean them but "Thats basically everything that has been removed because the point was to clean the carbs but found a few more small issues such as, a ground that needs replacing and dry rotted hose and the cylinders were fill with residuals."
So I had no idea what he meant by powder so I Asked what he meant and he said "Not a clue, its powdery...i know gas gels up but i dont know about powder."
It's done 44k. What the hell could he be on about? I'm going to take a look but here are some terrible pics he sent

For that price you couldn't go wrong whether it eventually runs or does not.

    +1 on that mr squirrelman

plastics look great. I bought a similarly priced 86 VFR700 and got it running and it hasn't quit since. Parts are out there. It's a solid bike. Go for it!
