Short story to vfrs @ 750 700. My plan is to take all the body work and all the suspension from the 700 and transfer it to the 750.

However the 750 has been in an accident front forks are pretty freaking bent about 10°.

Local frame shops on about $600 so with gasoline that sets me back at 800.. that is not going to happen!

Any of you ever checked for frame straightness on your own at home? I thought about using angle finders and measuring tapes comparing the the two frames.

I am also assuming the frames are identical?

    Thanks for any info

    Frames are identical.

That bike would have to cartwheel and tumble into a ball of junk before I even thought that frame could be bent.

If upon visual inspection there is no obvious stress to welds and joints, put your tape measure away and proceed how you want.

The sub frame is another story, but they just like to twist, and can be untwisted easily with something like a bent fork tube.

+1 on the Un-twist subframe. We just performed an untwist on the Hawk, successfully.

Main frame, there wouldn’t be much left of the bike if you bend that.

I was hesitant to post that question as it is one honkin beefy chunk of aluminum... And it did not look like it could easily go out of whack.

    It is one HEAVVVVVY machine

I have RZ350s the steering head on those motorcycles is literally the same size as new mountain bikes,. Those things tip over in a driveway and you can bend the headstock...lol

with a front end hit, the steering head and front wheel bearings may be damaged.
