I heard a few people causally talking about spraying some gas into an area of the carburetor or some area to see if they can get combustion. Have you heard about this and if so can you give me the a, b, c's of it - very simple on how to do it.

Thanks. I searched starter fluid and found some information. Some people spray propane into the air cleaner and some suggest throttle body cleaner. They wrote to be careful with the propane.

Too much use of starter fluid spray is bad for the engine cuz it strips away lubricating film from cylinder walls, causing scored pistons and cylinders and high wear on rings.

I thought it was also the explosion was a hotter detonation than gasoline? I had a HMMWV that has starter fluid used on it once a week to get it to start and a connecting rod ended up bent...
