Instead of purchasing aftermarket block off plates take the OEM lines and cut them off at the mounting plates. You are then left with a mounting plate with about a quarter inch of raised round material left with a hole in the middle of it. Then take a tap and cut threads into the hole. Next mix up some JB weld and fill the holes. Don't worry about the JB weld falling out. The threads that you cut in the hole will give it something to hold onto. If you wanted you could even purchase some plugs from the hardware store that match the threads you cut and screw those in the plates. The choice is yours. Either way it is much cheaper than purchasing block offs. Hope this helps someone out there that is on a tight winter project budget like I am. If this has been done or posted before then I guess it is old news.
