Has anybody noticed that it has been quite a few weeks now since somebody has come on here with charging problems. There was a constant stream of problems every few days but all is quiet now. Have they all been fixed?

So far so good with my electrical issues! A new stator and fuse holder did the trick (although I'm still checking the voltage and fuse holder every couple of days). Now it's on to bigger and more complicated things....the CCT. This bike is trying to make a mechanic out of me.

Not the best numbers but adequate. :stung: What's wrong is too much fretting about voltage. No complaining until it drops further. Which it eventually may. Then you gotta problem. :smiley_simmons:

Voltage may be lower in Canada, just like your sinking dollar.

My 5th gen manual says 14.0-14.8 V at 5000 rpm.

According to my on-board voltmeter (wired direct to the battery posts) I get a very steady 13.8 V from just above idle, and have had no bother with any charging issues (touches wood).

Do you have problems with a flat battery? How accurate is your voltmeter?

No, no, no........i live 4 miles (just across the Niagara river) from Canada and can testify they're good neighbors, no loud music or leaving trash around. Good folks who had the wisdom to elect a new government !

    DC, not AC volts.

Reported charging problems will decline in inverse proportion to favorable riding weather in the northern latitudes naturally as bikes are stored for the winter.
