Ok, It first happened to me last week, leaving home the bike started fine left the house was out ridnig about an hour stop in to gas up and the battery is dead!? So I bump start and get straight home with it. Only to have the battery at a full charge and its firing right up. So yesterday the exact same thing happened!?! What could this be?

probably the regulator/rectifier. just search for r/r and you'll see tons of posts about it. it's the most common problem we hear of I think.

Another quick question, after doing some searches, if it is my r/r why is it not leaving me stranded like it has others? After bump starting it runs fine and lights and gauges seem to be fine.
