Ok...So I got a brilliant idea of changing the tire on my VFR cause I don't have a center-stand!

    I was thinking of :

    1. Laying the bike on its side on the grass.add blankets, sponge etc... ( Could crack fairing)
    2. Jacking the swing arm and putting jackstands underneath / a large block of wood. ( May make the bike prone to fall)
    3. buying a pitbull stand (expensive and takes 3 weeks to ship here in Toronto)

Just wondering what people without center stands have done to change a tire?

You need to go here. They are a pitbull dealer and they have tons in stock.

    Riders Choice
    2276 Dixie Road
    Mississauga, Ontario
    Canada L4Y 1Z4
    (905) 896-7433

Then you too can do this!

But it will look more like this! Please ignore the ugly ZX-11 fuel tank in the background, the picture is perfect otherwise.

as an interim, you could run tie downs to overhead rafters/garage door tracks from the triple tree and jack up underneath the oil pan. Only works for a quick run to the tire dealer/shop

Thanks...good idea but since we just got a new garage door like last week...My wife would kill me if I DAMAGED the tracks or even if she caught me attempting to do it...she's probably watching me right now...bwah ha hah..

Actually i will use the Pitbull stand i just bought from the distributor here...should do the job just right and i feel good that i contributed to a american /North American made product..
