    Hello,

I am in the process of doing up my bike.
It was a standard Blue VFR800 Vtec 2002
Now i have painted The frame swing arm, fairings Black with red Fleck and change everything i can find to change.

I Really wanted to change the front end to a CBR1000 or something like that but after Hours of oulling down and trying it just didn't fit.
I once ran into a VFR owner that had done it to his bike, He said he put in a HOnda vtr1000 SP1 front end. So i checked one out and dont see how that will work either.

If anyone has any ideas or has seen this done i would love to know.

Once my bike is complete i will post the pics up..

    Thank you
    Natty,
    Australia

I put a cbr600rr front end and a vtec rear on my 4gen. Yeah, it's not a bolt on but it wasn't that difficult (hey, I did it!). Although on a vtec you'll be losing one of the best headlight systems out there, if that matters to you. Unless you want to tackle redesigning the cooling system, I'd say stick with the RC51 bodywork to keep using the side rads.

Wow, looks great! Good work. Is it much work matting up to the headstock on the frame? Was it mostly bolt on parts, or some machining required to do the front end?

Over the coming winter I'll be in the garage putting RC51 SP2 forks on my '02.
I've collected most of the needed bits, (Ebay is a great resource) so it's just a case of waiting for the weather to get chitty.

It is essentially a bolt on if you use CBR929 triple clamps as they use the same head bearings as the VFR.

Check out OzVFR.net ( when it is fully back ) , zROYz performed the SP front end mod on a '04 VTec, must say it looks fantastic the SP Front end is currently on a SuperBlackbird when he intended to sell the VFR but he wants it back on now he has decided to keep it again.
