I bought my first bike, an 08 VFR800 in April and by August I had droped it. Kick stand wasn't down all the way. It was from a stand still so there isn't much in the way of scratches but I still want to replace the cowls now that I feel alot more confident on the bike and I still want to keep it looking new seemings as I'm making a decent payment every month. This is my first bike and I'm not very mechanic savvy. I guess my question is how hard is it to replace the front and rear cowls. It looks like only a couple bolts and some kinda wierd looking bolt covers. (any idea how to get those off without breaking them?) I found some cowls for about 275 online vice the shops around here that are charging 390 plus labor. If I'm just gonna jack up the plastic though when I put it on I might as well pay extra. Any ideas?
