Since last (09) December, when I bought my '99 VFR, I've had 3 great bikes. A 2001 Kawasaki ZRX1200, an ancient yet perfect original condition 1970 Moto Guzzi, and the afore mentioned VFR. Since I spent all last season trading off bettween the 3, I've become bored with the ZRX, so I'm selling it to my soon to be a Marine son (22 years old, joining next Wed.). He's estatic, and hoping he gets stationed stateside so he can enjoy it to the fullest.
I'm also going to sell the Guzz, hopefully this spring. For several years I've thought about a project bike, so now I've narrowed it down to building a street tracker, based on an old Triumph. I'd been looking for the undesirable '71 or '72 models, as they are cheap. Not having much luck. So yesterday I called a buddy, a big Triumph fan to see if he knew of any out there. I lucked out....... he has a 1970 Bonneville (very desirable) basket case, 3 engines, including a ported and polished head that has never been installed, 2 tanks, a brand new wiring harness, etc, etc. He's decided that he will never take the time to build it back and has offered me the whole pile for $1000.00, as he would love to see it built......SCORE!!!! I'm stoked, and after I get it all home and sorted, will probably start a build tread. Now I can't decide.......build a cool flat track replica for the street, or restore it to original. Gonna have to think it through!

I must second that, way to classic of a bike and it sounds like you have a great platform to start with. Good score.
