Centerstand removal...!! (one more time)

How much does this thing weigh...?? Is it even worth removing?? and yes I know about the reverse threaded bolt.... I really dont use it at all...

 

have you ever taken the header off your veefer? it sucks and is not fun at all. prepare to waste a day out of your weekend. also, a lot of those gaskets are one time use only... if your doing this, i would recommend 4 new copper o-rings. they are compression gaskets and flatten out after the first use.
the centerstand itself isnt really that heavy, maybe 5 lbs max, but its location of being so low and centered on the bike, you really wont notice its loss.

 

if you don't use it then your wheels are dirty, chain unclean and unlubed, and you don't know about the condition of wheel or steering bearings.......plus your tyres get flatspots during storage!!

 

Not so true, oh so wise, squirrelman.....they make these things, they are called stands.

plus if you don't have a lot of room then you can't use one of those turntable devices i saw on here somewhere, i gotta build me one of those !! my driveway is on a gentle slope immediately when i exit the garage and it sucks turning it around or walking it out slowly backwards up the slope, also i found when filling the bike you can't get a full tank when filling up on the sidestand
