That's an $800 rescue not a $2800 everything's great bike like the seller thinks. ALmost everything is wrong on it, including that terrible paint, brake line, engine cover, dents, and the either Type II or knockoff chrome bits. My eyes. MY EYES! I do hope that someone rescues it.

A "motorcycle shop service manager" installed and routed that front brake line?!

    What in-the-actual FUCK?

    Maybe...

But it is a CB-1. Like kryptonite to me.
My wife just sighed "another 400". haha
I think the manager put the brake line on when he was helping wrench on it.
I requested a running vid. The bike is 400 miles from me, which is too far for an "ehh, not so good" bike.
What was the HP on these, I forget. 55?

At the crank. They are not "fast", but they are not slow, in my opinion. They are like what Paul Newman said about driving turbo cars, "If you're complaining about turbo lag, you're driving it wrong." Spin that fucker up, keep it there and wring it's neck. It will reward you. I am able to distance myself on country roads from my friend on his 919.

I asked him, "What's wrong? I'm on a 400." He said, "I was already at 8,000 RPM." Hah! I said, "That's where the CB-1 starts!"

The chassis is very capable and gives great feedback, like the Hawk. The stock forks springs are as stiff as wound yarn. The bike is way more comfortable than the Hawk, but the fuel range is as dismal.

I don't think that CB-1 is just a $800 bike, but I do agree it needs to be saved.

There is just "something" about them.

Shes gone. Probably good for my pocket book and time management. I will just glady except Capt's CB when its time. :)

    Before I read Capts post.

It is not super fast, but IT IS the bike that taught me how to ride FAST. Growing up, I was in that "600s are starting to be out purchased by 1000's", but the CB could kill most anything at the time in the canyons with a decent rider.

He was going to send me a running vid. At least I don't have to watch a vid of it driving to someone else's house. :)

Factory HP is a few under 50, and that is a good one that doesn't look like it was maintained by an orangutang or a duck.
