The sad part of this is that he basically got up and walked away (its not sad because he didn't get hurt, its sad because people will see it and go "see i can ride without gear, ill be fine). He's an offensive lineman on a college football team. I'm certain his physical fitness contributed to the lack of major injury.

    Watch the whole video.
It shows him being taken away on a stretcher.
Who knows what injuries he may have had.
That is why it is important for the victim to lay down or sit down after the accident. They may be injured.
Bones cam come apart and require more surgery and pins etc., by walking on a broken bone.

Coming home from Vegas last month, I get hit on the freeway going about 70mph. After sliding for 30 feet, I remembered to tuck & roll & tumbled for another 60 feet and came to rest against the curb. Got a little road rash on my left palm & knee due to gloves & pants wearing down in the initial slide & a broken ankle from where the car made impact. After coming to a stop, I laid there for a second taking stock of what & where it hurt and was extremely grateful that I always wear full protection. GEAR WORKS.
