Hello again! I have a real trouble with i guess myself...I made a special tool to turn my throtlle screws. I bought a Carbtune device and synchronized my carbs perfectly. BTW, super tool, worth every penny i paid for it over and over again. Stable reading, precise......The bike runs OK but not perfectly. Couple of attempts to adjust fiuel/air mixture did not give any significant improvement. I guess i have lost the touch.. or was it hearing? ? Anyways, i tried to find a rev counter that can register described in manual 50 RPM change. Surprize surprize.... It is not to be found in the Kingdom of Denmark. Any tips or workarounds? Any help would be appreciated.
If you can't hear any difference when you're setting mixture screws it usually means one or more slow jet(s) are clogged, partially clogged, someone drilled them, or just plain the wrong size. Or...the needle/needle jet setting/height is too rich and allowing too much fuel past the needle at idle...confounding trying to set mixture screws.
Hi dizzy. Thank you for the info. I can say that clogging or the wrong size are out of the question. I do hear the difference but can not say that what i hear is 50, a 100 or 175 RPM. This is the core of my problem. If any of the VFR addicts here has something to do with electronics he could probably design a circuit that picks up the rev counter signal or ignition triggers signal and multiplies it to get a RPM counter with range of 1000 RPM and the resolution of let's say 10. It could be a plug-in set for the tuning time in and use the original rev counter....... Let us hear the voice of people! Thanks again
